For this team member Tuesday, meet our new marketing interns, Adja and Shiloh! They’ve been helping with social media and events (such as last week’s BAKED Competition as shown above) for a little over 2 weeks! Here’s a little more info about them: 🌟Adja is a junior in engineering and loves her cat Winston 🐈‍⬛ (he even has his own stroller)! She’s hoping to diversify her experience by working with us. 🌟Shiloh is a first-year currently pursuing politics and loves to travel and read! She has a special interest in creating content, and is even taking the lead on future Cowan Hacks!

A new option on the menu DAILY for lunch and dinner?! Made-to-Order Burgers are here! 🍔 If you’re not really feeling the menu, simply walk up to the “Made to Order Burgers” sign by Grill and ask for one! Please allow and be prepared to wait by the designated area for 5-10 minutes for your order to be prepared, and our cooks will have you all set!

Happy team member Tuesday to Emily (also shoutout to whoever gifted HOF this painting)! She’s been with us since the beginning of this school year, and you may have seen her at Einstein’s before transitioning over to the HOF crew. Something she’s passionate about outside of work is anime, and something she’s taken up recently is making sugar scrubs!

Last week, we celebrated Lunar New Year Early with AAPIC for our January EaSeL Evening! It was such an honor providing tanghulu and getting to watch everyone enjoy all the delicious food provided while painting lanterns and learning about this observance that over 8 million people celebrate worldwide! Also, shoutout to the winner of the “Lucky Envelope” drawing, who is in the 1st photo! Maybe being in our pics for IG brings good luck 😏

🧁CALLING ALL CENTRE BAKERS! We have a NEW competition coming in February that we think you’ll love.. Behold- BAKED! Teams of 3 will be tasked with baking and decorating cakes in front ofa dinner audience, but unlike CHOPPED, the audience WILL ALSO get to judge their culinary masterpieces! Interested? It’s team member Tuesday, and if you don’t know Arlene, she is 1 of our 2 Einstein supervisors! She’s been with us for about 6 months now, and makes THE best fruit cups by hand-picking every single piece to make sure they’re fresh and crisp! Outside of work, Arlene has an artsy side, and loves to paint and craft as well as spend time with her family!

Happy Martin Luther King day! We always welcome diversity in our spaces. Whether it’s through the dishes we serve, the clubs we collaborate with or the celebrations we observe, diversity is at the foundation of what makes our dining program so special! The best part of our job is seeing people of all backgrounds coming together to share the love of food and company ❤️🧡💚💙 Enjoy your day off from classes and take a moment to reflect on MLK’s fight for peace and equality for black communities and the impacts he made.

☕️ Centre LOVES coffee, so we went from having iced coffee bars monthly to now having iced coffee every Friday in Cowan (except that 1 time and was met with disappointment IMMEDIATELY 🥴). Please let us know ways we can improve YOUR coffee Fridays!

🍕 Last night was a blast with @centre_bso for our 1st ever pizza workshop! This is our 2nd collab with them, and are excited to continue our partnership into Black History Month! We’ve partnered with many other clubs and departments on campus, and are always open for suggestions, so reach out to tbender@parkhurstdining.com if you’re interested in partnering up for an event!

For this TMT, let’s see how chef A’riel makes one of his beautiful Bravo dishes! He has been creating some memorable dishes on Bravo this year, so make sure to thank him for all his effort when you see him! A’riel has now been a part of the management team for a little over 1 1/2 years, and finds real joy in cooking both at work and outside of it. His bag of culinary knowledge goes deep, with experience making culturally diverse cuisines to warm, comfort dishes. His focus right now is to inspire others to enjoy cooking and be great while doing it!

Last week was our 1st meeting of the year with @centresga and here are some comments we received! 😊 If you didn’t already know, we meet with the Student Government Association regularly to hear student concerns, questions and compliments regarding dining. It’s October, which means ANOTHER Centre After Dark event is coming next Wednesday! Last month we roasted weenies, and this month we will be featuring our 1st ever “feast your eyes” event!
